A scheduling conflict forced our hand, so the Farmers Market & Fall Festival at Front Porch of Bowdon is now Saturday, November 7, from 10:00am to 3:00pm, on the lawn at 501 Mitchell Ave. Admission is free. There is nothing to buy at the gate.
We would rather tell you once, clearly, than have somebody drive out on the wrong Saturday. So: November 7. One week earlier than we first announced.

What the day looks like
Local vendors set up across the lawn with produce, plants, baked goods, crafts, and whatever else people from around Carroll County are making and growing this fall. A DJ plays through the day. There are lawn games and things for kids to do, so bringing children is a good idea rather than a complication.
It runs like a small town market, because that is what it is. Come for twenty minutes or stay for the afternoon.
Why a personal care home throws a market
Most of our residents do not get out to town events anymore. That is a plain fact about needing this level of care, and it is not something a shuttle bus fixes. So once a year we bring the town to the lawn instead. Residents sit out front, neighbors walk past, somebody’s grandchildren run around the yard, and for one Saturday the front of this building looks the way a front porch is supposed to look.
That is the whole reason it exists. The rest of it, the vendors and the music and the games, is how you get people to actually show up.
If you want a booth
Vendor spaces are still open. A space is $25. What we are looking for:
You bring:
- Your own tent, table, and chairs
- Change and whatever payment methods you take
We provide:
- A marked space on the lawn
- Setup time before the 10:00am opening
- Free parking
- Your business listed on the vendor list we publish before the event

Finding us
Front Porch of Bowdon is at 501 Mitchell Ave in Bowdon, about twenty minutes west of Carrollton. Parking is on site and it is free. If you have never been out here, the festival is an easy first visit, and nobody will follow you around with a clipboard. We are a licensed personal care home serving Carroll County and the surrounding west Georgia communities.
If you are looking at care for a parent and you would rather see the place on a normal Tuesday than at a party, that is fair. Call us and we will set up a tour.
