Our Pricing Explained

Industry Pricing

A common method of billing in long-term care is called Level of Care. These models charge residents a base fee and assign a predetermined number of care points. Each activity (bathing, toileting, feeding, etc) within the community “costs” care points. Once your care points are exhausted each month, additional fees for services will apply.

Our Pricing

At Front Porch of Bowdon, we take a different approach. We don’t like the idea of variable bills for families. We know long-term care is expensive and frequently requires extensive financial planning for our residents. We want to offer as stable a pricing model as possible for our residents in families, so there are no surprises for them at the end of the month.

Assessing Needs

However, each resident does have unique needs, and a resident who needs care in every aspect of their daily life requires far more staffing time and resources than a resident who is otherwise healthy and independent. To account for this, we will perform an assessment prior to admission to get an estimate of each resident’s care needs, and based on that assessment, a flat rate price will be given. If the resident requires more care, then your pricing will not change. No surprises.

An assessment will then be performed each year on the anniversary of the resident’s move-in date, as well as if a resident experiences a significant change in health condition (such as being admitted to the hospital). Any price change will be appropriately explained and families will receive ample notice prior to any change.

Our goal is to be as transparent in our pricing as possible so residents and families fully understand the cost of care.

2023 Pricing

Every resident has different needs. Please note that final pricing is dependent on the needs of the resident.

We do offer income-based sliding scale options for those with lower income. Income verification may be required. Please contact the community for details.
